Sophie's dedication

Sophie was dedicated on Sunday and it's such a special time for us as parents. It affirms our challenge to raise her in a loving home that teaches her about God and His abundance of grace and love we can choose to take as we accept Jesus as our Savior. It's easy to feel alone and lost, but in times like these, it's reassuring to know we have a multitude of friends who are willing to help us.

Sophie Bella loosely translated means "God's beautiful wisdom" so we choose a passage that speaks to that and holds truth that we hope she holds on to as she grows.

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
the one who gains understanding.
For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
and her wages are better than gold.
Wisdom is more precious than rubies;

She offers long life in her right hand,
and riches and honor in her left..
