After living in Japan for over a year without a visit to the states, God smiled, the kids were great and we had a great time tagging along with Aaron as he had to go to McChord Air Force base in Tacoma Washington. Anyway, my parents were able to join us and we loved visiting an entire new place in the world.
Things I misses in the US:
- Target
- stores with a 1 before the 0 in clothing sizes (as opposed to 0-as in 00 instead 10 and up)
- speed limits written in mph instead of kph and going "fast" on the highways
- no toll roads
- bigger cars
- Panera
- Olive Garden
- Red Robin (yumm)
- signs written in English instead of Engrish or Kanji or Katakana
Things I didn't miss:
- rude Americans
- remembering which side of the road to drive on
- my bed
We were ready to come home when it was time, I am so glad to be with the parents again, we have really missed family and visitors (something about the expense and 10 hour plane ride is holding people back). We are adjusted to the time change, took about a week and are ready to travel again.
