Still bathing my kids in the kitchen sink (can't believe she still fits). The kids were afraid of the shower in the bathroom. This would be "plan B", but it was a little nostalgic for mommy...

Yokota just went through it's huge inspection earlier this month, they have been practicing since April and they passed. I knew Aaron was going to need a big time break so we took off and went to Tama. Lots of history at this rec area. It was a munitions warehouse, bunkers and storage areas built into mountains, totally undetected during WWII, but given access to the US during the Korean war. The history says 20,000 tons of munitions were stored there during Korea.

Anyway, it's now benign and has been turned into a rec area complete with 18 hole golf coarse, archery range, ropes coarse, biking and hiking trails, tennis courts, horse stables, and a campground for tents (no RV's because Japanese don't really do that) and cabins. It's really fun to get away and go to a place that reminds us of home, Colorado home! We love it there!

Oh yeah, we did ride out a 5.3 earthquake, it was loud and rolley. Sarah and Sophie kept saying, our house is breaking. FYI, earthquakes are loud in a log cabin-just in case you were wondering.
