We made it to Virginia safe and sound, I can't believe it's almost been a month since we left Japan but with miles like that and all the fun we crammed in, it's no wonder.
We have been to our house, but are staying with Jake and Holly Panter for a few days. They are friends we met in Enid Oklahoma-way back in the day (1999) and it goes to show you that you need to be nice to everyone... our house is really nice and going to work out very well for us. We've met some neighbors and I have an appointment with Sarah's school tomorrow to get her checked in and registered. The school is really close and she is so excited about the playground. Ahh, to be 7 again. School doesn't start until September-which is great-AND it doesn't start until 9AM!!
Our movers have been busy, we have our things in DC but they will not be ready to deliver and unpack until the 18th. (And that is why we are staying with the Panters-that and because we love them and their 4 girls that are our girls ages.)
So here we are, in Virginia, learning the ins and outs of how things are done. The area is beautiful and there will be lots of exploring to do. We have cell phones now so if you are interested in our address and phone number, email. I will be happy to share.

Oh, and by the way, Holly is the one you can thank for turning me onto blogging-well, thank or blame anyway.
