1st and 3rd

1st and 3rd day that is...

Sarah is ready for school each day, but the realization that 1st grade is not as much fun as Kindergarten has been eye opening. She misses Mrs. Comp and the more relaxed less structured days, but she gets to go to art class and Mr Swigart is one of her favorite teachers, very kind, very encouraging and she loves art so it's great. Mrs White is great, she assigned her first night of homework and Sarah sailed through it and felt so accomplished.

Sophie has been waiting for this day since we moved to Japan. She loves school, everything about it. Last night I asked if she were ready for Yochien (yo-chee-n) preschool and she said no, she wasn't big enough but if she slept in her magic bed, she would be big enough in the morning. And what do you know, she woke up and was big enough!!

She is in the Angel class, which means she doesn't have to wear a uniform, but she wanted to and by gosh, she is ADORABLE!! I love them both.
