My new Hero Family

We met a family tonight that is truly amazing, they are military, she is a social worker now a stay at home mom together they have an 18 year old. They are foster parents and currently have a 13 year old in the hospital. They also have 6 new foster kids placed 2 days ago, all thanks to the Tony Ilamo fiasco. All told they have 10 people in their house and as we talked with her, as she is sitting in a wheel chair because she has a broken leg!, she encourages us to be foster parents because it's so much fun. She filled us with total inspiration and we left her house seriously considering the option of fostering children in the future. It is no secret that we would eventually love to adopt when the time is right, but tonight gave us new eyes into the possibility of fostering.

Prayers for the family:

• Physical healing for the foster mom and 13 year old.
• Strength, continuous source of love for the kids, wisdom for the situation and renewal for the foster parents.
• Sense of hope and stability for the 6 new kids placed in their home as well as their future
• All kids in the unfortunate position of growing up too early with parents that make bad decisions.
• Gratitude for the example of a family so willing to open their homes to kids that need someone desperately.
