Matsumoto Castle

Your basic 16th century castle with a hidden floor for supplies, windows to throw rocks out onto unsuspecting bad guys, shutters on the windows to slide shut and of course a moat not filled with alligators but the dreaded coy fish- LOOK OUT!

View from the top turret. Worth defending I think!

Apparently you are supposed to go down the stairs left right left- don't try to buck the system, non-conformists used the right staircase.

The day would not be complete without Sophie flashing something to someone, even if it's coy fish.

Look-Japanese Ben!

Very hard to see, but the red letters warn us the stairs are VERY STEEPLY!

Graffiti is fine, leave the crayons at home however...

Love how the sign on the sidewalk has gum on it.
