Sakura Festival

The main east gate street is lined with cherry trees and they have become quite famous. This year the base opened the gates to Japanese nationals to come on and see them for themselves. This was a tradition not too long ago, but the Japanese started loosing interest. Given recent events, the commander opened the gates this year and it seemed to be a success.

Yup, she's adorable, and I made her cry hysterically.
Good job pediatric nurse...
Not my proudest moment.
So here is my theory about this outfit.
Japanese don't get much of a childhood because they start school so young and go 6 days a week and have intramural activities that keep them away from what we as Americans would consider a "childhood". So it seems that when they graduated from school, they return to a childhood.
I give Rachel credit for my theory.
 She was just adorable!
And so is she...
