The negatives...
- Sophie-teething 4 molars, which includes fever, diarrhea, fussy nights, fussy days, irritable, moaning, clingy, pacifier loving, food-not loving and by the way PLEASE stop pooping in the bath tub!! I know you will be embarrassed about this later, but oh my goodness, it's enough already!
- Sarah-vomiting, diarrhea, not sleeping well, whiny
- camera is not working, the automatic lens cap won't open, well, it can be pryed open and jammed with toothpicks, yeah, it's getto... (now you understand why there are no pictures lately)
- found the leak under the sink, now have a new garbage disposer. Spending $120 on a disposer is a great time when you are trying to save a little bit. DARN YOU GAS PRICES!
- Lawn mower (the beast of a riding lawn mower) will only be jump started because the solenoid is bad, the gas filter needs replacing, the seat fell off, the transmission is frozen, the blade needs replacing (darn that sewer man hole cover, I swear it jumped up as Aaron was driving over it). The bagger is in good condition though. Although having a new bagger on a lawn mower that is 16 years old is like putting spinner hub caps on a rusted out Yugo. Looks pretty funny.
The positives...
- Sarah LOVES Vacation Bible School, she is learning tons, loving the kids and making me so proud as she is with kids she's never met in a church she rarely goes to (our church didn't have a VBS this year so we are attending a friends church). I was so proud as she sat in the middle of a bunch of kids and was playing like she's known them for years. She was also showing her hula hoop skills to a bunch of school aged boys with all the confidence she had. She is a natural.
- Sophie is getting a handle on walking and talking, although we have our moments of screaming, grunting and pointing (OK, more than a few moments), she is starting to be more conversive and that is totally fun.
- Daddy is home, yesterday was the day he was supposed to leave for his big long trip. (his surprise 6 month deployment). That is probably the best positive! I am so glad God allowed him to stay with us.
- Dad also took a huge hit for the team and cleaned a VERY defiled toilet! THANK YOU!! Cleaning the toilet is like washing the car, the minute you do it, it gets messed up again. I was going to say it rains, but that might be too much of a word picture when we are talking about the toilet... (Please don't think about that one too much.)
- We are finding creative ways of being together this summer. Loving our play group and enjoying our friend who call us at the spur of the moment to have us over to their house if only to play in their sprinklers
- For Sale: one finely untuned, but nicely waxed 1992 model riding lawn mower!
